Seminars

Any student not receiving TAG credit through an academic class (AP/Honors/Directed Study/Internship) must complete a TAG seminar to receive TAG credit for the semester.

Seminars are mini courses that meet once a week during the lunch hour in a "lunch and learn" format. Students must bring their lunch.  Seminar topics are varied each semester based on teacher availability.

Hire Me

 

Hire Me is a gifted seminar offered to 10th-12th grade students and is the prerequisite for participation in a Gifted Career Internship.  Hire Me meets one day a week during the student’s lunch in a “lunch and learn” environment. 

 

Throughout the Hire Me seminar students are guided through the following:

 Career Exploration

  • Resume building

  • Cover letter writing

  • Thank you letter writing

  • Proper Interview attire

  • Interview Skills

  • Internship Exploration

  • And More……..

 

Hire Me registration occurs at the beginning of every semester.  Students are notified about registration via remind.   

The Social Innovators Academy (SIA)

The Social Innovators Academy (SIA) is a social entrepreneurship curriculum, executed through workshops with industry experts and hands-on learning experiences. SIA equips students to put their passion to action and create a nonprofit or social impact project of their own.

 

The Social Innovators Academy seminar will meet once a week during 5th period Fall semester (for students with 5th period lunch)  and during 4th period spring semester (for students with 4th period lunch)
